Day of Construction 2019

On Saturday 15 June, Construction Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Construction and infrastructure companies open projects throughout the Netherlands to the public, including the office at Fellenoord in Eindhoven.

The office will receive a progressive metamorphosis of BREEAM-Excellent sustainability level. It is about the sustainable reuse of the former Rabobank office, next to the Central Station in Eindhoven.UNStudio is responsible for the design and Pieters Bouwtechniek for the construction. The redeveloped building will be delivered at the end of 2019.

A progressive design was chosen, in which a healthy, sustainable and flexible working concept for the user and the environment is central. The building design has a BREEAM-Excellent sustainability level. The building will be delivered without a natural gas connection and is equipped with the latest generation technology (WKO and PV panels). In addition, the design uses smart applications, such as localization sensors and an intelligent data infrastructure. These applications provide insight into user behavior. And that ensures lower energy consumption and more efficient use of the spaces.

Then the Day of Construction is a good time to visit the construction site at Fellenoord 15 because there is a lot to see of the transformation of the old Rabobank office.
