Sustainable chocolate factory opened in Amsterdam
Last Saturday, October 5, 2019, theopened. In recent years Rodney and Enver have built their own sustainable chocolate factory in Amsterdam-West, in the middle of the world's largest cocoa port. From the end of this year everyone is welcome at the Chocolate Makers factory to see (and taste) how the chocolate is made.
In the chocolate factory, only "single origin beans" are used, which are purchased directly from farmers. The sailing ship with which the cocoa beans from the Dominican Republic will sail can dock in front of the new chocolate factory. And there is room for the cyclists of the half-yearly Schokofahrt. The photos show the bicycles of this group of 100 people who distribute the chocolate to Germany by bicycle.
