KWIC nominated for BNA Best Building 2022

29 March 2022

Koning Willem I College in 's-Hertogenbosch has been nominated for BNA Best Building 2022, in the Stimulating Environments category.

With the Best Building Award, the Industry Association of Dutch Architectural Firms (BNA) wants to make the added value of architecture visible for people and society. The price is primarily intended for clients and users.

Koning Willem I College
With the new building, the Koning Willem I College is bringing together various MBO locations on the Education Boulevard. Ultimately, this will create two large campuses: a campus on Education Boulevard and a campus on Vlijmenseweg. The absolute eye-catcher of the project is the new entrance building, which will be placed in front of the existing building. As a result, the square on the Education Boulevard will be more connected to the environment. What is special is that the five-storey entrance building has a completely wooden supporting structure. This makes it one of the first buildings in the Netherlands to use such a construction on this scale.

All nominated projects can be viewed on the BNA site.

Vote and result
You can vote for your favorite project via this website. You can vote for the nominees until 28 April. The project with the most votes wins the audience award.

In addition, all nominees have a chance to win the jury prize. The winner of Best Building of the Year 2022 will be announced together with the other winners on May 12 in Theater Zuidplein in Rotterdam.
