Completion of the CasaNova Rotterdam building

The CasaNova project at the Wijnhaven in Rotterdam has been completed and delivered. The buyers are currently working on the furnishing.

CasNova
CasaNova, designed by Barcode Architects, is a residential tower with a special triangular shape. The unusually shaped building takes into account the sightlines of the surrounding towers. Where the tower meets the plinth, the volume narrows over four layers.

The tower is constructed from a concrete stability core that extends over the entire height. From the core, a sloping concrete load-bearing facade is created from the 4th floor that runs straight upwards from the 9th floor. The transition from straight to slanted facade creates forces that are anchored in the 9th floor with a steel ring and extra reinforcement in the 9th floor.
