Cheese warehouse winner ARC18 Development Award

The winners of the ARC18 Awards were announced during the festive ceremony at the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam. The prizes award the very best work of the past year in the categories architecture, interior, furniture, detail, innovation and development. Adriaan Geuze (West 8) was also awarded the ARC18 Oeuvre Award and Tomas Dirrix was awarded the ARC18 Young Talent Award.

This year 475 entries were received for the ARC18 Awards. The independent juries were faced with the task of selecting the nominations and winners from these submissions. Together the winners give a nice overview of the current state of Dutch and Flemish design culture.

Appreciation for experiments
The ARC18 Development Award, which honors the use of excellent architecture in commercial project development, is new to the ARC tribe. The jury will designate the Cheese Warehouse in Gouda by White House Development and Mei architects and planners as the winner of the prize. Pieters is the main designer for this successful transformation.
