The Elzenhagen Noord district has been completed

27 August 2020

With the completion of 130 social rental homes, the last part of the Elzenhagen Noord district in Amsterdam has been completed. The residential blocks enclose an inner courtyard. The courtyard is only accessible to residents. The complex with the name "Noordeinde" was designed by architect Ponec de Winter and was commissioned by the Amsterdam housing corporation Stadgenoot, built by contractor Hillen en Roosen, part of Hemubo since 2017.

The complex consists of four blocks with different types of apartments. There are 67 two-room houses, 45 three-room houses and 18 five-room houses. There is room for young urbanites as well as seniors and families. The residential blocks enclose an inner courtyard that will later be set up together with the residents. This week the residents will receive the keys to their new home.

Durability
Stadgenoot is working on sustainable property. The homes in Noordeinde are energy-efficient homes without natural gas and with solar panels.

Location
The houses are located between G.J. Scheurleerweg and B. Merkelbacksingel. They are part of the new residential area Elzenhagen, which is located around the end station of the North / South line.

Expensive construction
The construction of "Noordeinde" started in November 2018 and will be completed in August 2020.

The project is a collaboration between Pieters Bouwtechniek office Amsterdam and Utrecht office.
