Highest point apartment building Vliervelden

26 June 2020

The highest point of the apartment building Vliervelden in Almere has recently been reached. This beautiful moment was celebrated on June 10 on the construction site.

A new ranch is being built in Oosterwold near Almere to a design by KettingHuls. In addition to a hay barn and a stable, the farmland agricultural land will also have a residential building with 21 apartments, a farm, a covered entrance and a shop for the sale of agricultural products.

Instead of top-down, Oosterwold is made bottom-up by the future residents according to a comprehensive urban plan with a ready-made street map. They will have to build their own access roads, build lots, build sewers and secure energy sources.

The gatehouse has a wooden facade. The balconies on the south side and the galleries on the street side are supported by a wooden construction of beams and columns. The slightly elevated building has porches and stairs on the ground floor made of wood. The concrete structures of the houses and the farmhouse are covered with wood paneling and fitted with wooden frames. A very pronounced red corrugated iron roof covers the entire gatehouse.
