'Meelfabriek' excursion students The Hague University

On February 21, 2nd year HBO engineering students from the Hague High School had an excursion at the Meelfabriek in Leiden. The excursion took place within the framework of the design assignment constructions. The students first had an explanation of the construction, since Pieters is the main constructor of this project.

Then there was a tour of the construction site. This gave the students the opportunity to take a look at the construction site, which they experienced as very positive.

The students are working on a design assignment for a project from Pieters Delft (new Krinkels Breda headquarters). For this they make a structural design and various calculations.

In addition to the guidance that students receive at school, they receive guidance twice at the Pieters Bouwtechniek office in Delft. The students can further optimize their design based on questions and suggestions from the people at Pieters Bouwtechniek. The excursion offered a good opportunity to gain insight into the transition from the design to the final elaboration on the construction site.
